The Dug-Out - Sport Btec
The Dug-out is our amazing new Btec Sport facility
Our new BTEC sport course utilises fantastic sports facilities to meet all of our course needs. 'The Dug-out' is a perfect space for students to learn, train and excel within a sporting environment.
What to expect
A fully Pearson approved, teacher designed Btec programme has been specially designed for our students.
Our multi-sport course offers the following:
- Introductory to Sport Btec level 1
- Coaching course: FA Playmaker
- Coaching course: England rugby tag rugby,
- Coaching course: 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Assistant (Multi-Skills),
- Coaching course: Certificate in Fitness and Conditioning for Sport (SAQ)
- Level 1 qualification in sports leadership
- First Aid at work
What we offer
This combination of our Btec course, along with the nationally recognised coaching qualifications, is all designed to get you ‘work ready’. Dovetailing this, we will give you large amounts of real life work experience in real work environments, coaching groups of young people and adults to hone your skills:
- Work experience in professional environments
- Visits to professional sport clubs and teams
- Seminars and talks from past and current professional sportspeople and coaches
